The Undying is moving along…

I am glad that Chapter 3 of The Undying is moving along very well- Tara Butler and the Amphora are about to take center stage…and what about that guy in the cloak? What´s up with him?!

I will continue posting a page every time I finish one. I kind of like doing it that way, and it gives me extra incentive to draw the next page – HEY!, I want to see what´s going to happen, too! Although I write and do quick sketches of a story to get a feel for it before I start drawing, the story often changes a bit as I go along.

Note: The Undying Part Two is now online, and has its own menu to the left of the screen. Be sure to read all of “The Undying Part One” before going to “The Undying Part Two”.

The Game Freak

I am doing a new comic strip called “The Game Freak”, a strip based on my own screwy life with board games. You will find it published here under “cartoons”, as well as at the http://fortressat.com about board games. Check it out and drop a line! If you are a gamer, you may see the strip pop up here and there- I have a couple floating around on hidden pages at http://boardgamegeek.com, and one is over at http://www.incursiongame.com right now.   By the way, if you love Weird War 2, check out Incursion!

I have to admit my Ebay store is going better than I thought. I have been able to get rid of a lot of stuff from my garage to make room for new ideas and projects. Hope you guys have visited the Vortex and found a goody or two to buy.   The address is:

Please visit – and remember, a purchase is like your gesture in supporting my art.

Paintings are on hold. Period. Until further notice. Although I am doing a sketch of a possible one…

Welcome to the Art of Steve Bullock!

What will you see here?  Oh, just about anything I have done for the last 30 years (as well as current work) that I can dig up…comic books, cartoons, paintings, sculpture, photographs…you name it! I will be the first to admit this is a rather daunting project, as I know almost nothing about website buiding (as well as the fact a lot of my art is scattered and in storage). Donnie Walker has been kind enough to give me great help with it (thanks Donnie!) and without him I may have never entered the internet.

I will hope to include a variety of my paintings as well, and these will be for sale- the price will be listed by the painting. Just E-Mail me that you are interested and I will be happy to make arrangements for the exchange.

Essar Comics 1-8 are no longer available, and are all copyrighted by Steve R Bullock. When I read these again I am reminded of my raw love for comics, and despite how crude they may appear today a lot of sweat and love went into them. Feel free to print out a copy for yourself and share it with a friend- simply do not sell copies. Too bad Zap-Man died…

The Grampa & Jimmy stories are my latest venture into comics- something a bit less superheroic but just as wacky. I guess I just wanted to do something that had nothing to do with super powers. These stories are just for the internet and I have no intentions of ever publishing them. Of course, if you are a book publisher and are interested, feel free to contact me! The story and art will improve as I add stories to this new series as I learn more about computers. Of course this feature is also copyrighted by myself. So no selling this one either! Needless to say I will only do a story rarely- maybe one a year. I have so many other things to do at his time Grampa & Jimmy has to wait like everyone else! Of course, money talks, and speeds things up….but even I realise that isn´t about to happen anytime soon!
